How to run obs in VMware virtual machine? I have only x264 encoder there without any settings.

OBS' scene composition is handled by GPU, not CPU.

why you want to use it in a VM ?

There are many reasons to do so. Just to name a few of them, some anticheat systems require installing drivers with kernel-level access, which is a massive security risk or maybe his host system has a different OS than his VM/Guest OS.

For example, I have a few VMs with Windows 10, Linux and other OS with GPU passthrough while my host system is Gentoo so I get the best of every world with, pretty much, no performance impact. Whenever I need a specific OS, I just fire up the right one.
