How to remplace VLC video source on Linux?

Hi,
I am looking for a solution to replace VLC video source on linux.
I've seen that it has been deactivated because of a problem of compatibility with a vlc library and I don't find any solution to do the same.

My goal :
I want to use it as a workaround to read rtsp streams. A model of camera I use works badly on OBS (linux and windows), the stream appears a few seconds and turns black until I re-initiate the stream on cam side but I can see in network activity that data are received even if OBS does not display anything.
When I use VLC, no problem to read the stream, and vlc video source on Windows' OBS works fine too.
With another model of camera using rtsp, OBS works fine too. I tried every possible settings on the "bad one" with no luck.

Thank you for your help.
