Question / Help How to reduce noise in a video stream?

I've been using Open Broadcaster to stream the infrared HDMI output from a 4K Sony video camera. It works pretty well, but one thing that I'm finding a little annoying for image analysis is the presence of grayscale salt and pepper noise in the footage. This is rather noticeable in the green nightshot appearance of the frames.

Does anyone know if there's a way I could reduce this? I've been trying to change the video bitrate (currently at 40,000), but are there potentially other things I could do (such as play with the downscale filter)? Thanks so much.

Are there noise reduction options in OBS? Sharpen can help in some situations, but not neceseraly for noise in video. I am searching for noise reduction in OBS, but am mostly just guided to audio noise reduction.
Please help if you can.

Looking for the same info here. I am brand new to this but getting some black "noise" in the video capture device. How do I improve that?
+1 I use a Brio4k cam and the noise is very noticeable on black. Im trying to film an Ipad screen and my hands over it using it

+1 I'm also interested in a de-noising capability for OBS. I use OBS virtualcam driver to pipe my video from my Lumix G85 --> CamLink 4k --> Zoom / Google Meet / Microsoft Teams / et al.

While the video from my camera is pretty "clean" it can sometimes look a little noisy.

Noise reduction would be great even with good quality cameras and good lighting - it can greatly improve greenscreen keying results.
