How to record from a network HDMI decoder/encoder?

I do IT and networking for a living. I do video editing of stuff I capture from my DSLR or Hero cameras or TV shows, but I have no knowledge of video streaming (other than consumer reception), video switching, or engineering other than the network interface. So I'm a noob at this.

I bought one of these LinkPi ENC5 boxes for another project, I have that setup and it is working fine. if I wanted to record the streaming output of this device, can OBS do that? I can't seem to find out how to set it up as a source, and I didn't see any sort of plugin.

It would appear that my options are TS, HLS, RTSP, SRT, and NDI. I read some about NDI; the license costs (some) extra, but it feels proprietary and more than what I need. RTSP would seem like the next best choice if I can suss it out.

None of what I want to do crosses a router or the Internet; it is all local work. Is this a good program to use for this, or am I trying to modify it to what I need? Thanks for any help!
