Pretty much what the title says, how do i keep gaming at 144hz with vsync off while preventing screen tearing on the capture side of the stream. OBS preview has a horizontal line going across. Does anyone know if its somehow possible?
Been reading and researching but found nothing useful.
I have the gaming pc and 144hz hooked up together. Then hdmi to the capture out from my gaming pc. The capture card is 60hz, and has screen tearing in the obs preview unless i cap my 144hz to 60hz as well. I found out that by disabling aero and going to windows 7 basic theme I can keep the 144hz while the capt is at 60hz otherwise opening up obs would make the 144hz feel like it was 60hz and it would be really choppy and laggy.
I run obs on my gaming pc and use the full screen projection to the capture card but it still get screen tearing.
Is there anyway to fix this? What if i limited the fps to 60 before it hit the capture card that should work right? maybe if there is a third party program that can do that. Any advice or do i need to get a 144hz capture card? I just feel like its kinda pointless having 144hz monitor if ima have to game at 60 smh :(
