Question / Help How to include special characters in text files for OBS?

This must be the dumbest question about OBS ever, I use it for many months now and have found quite some nice uses for it but I also use a few text files that OBS reads from (to display real time information) and I can not find how to put ' or € or other characters in there to show on stream, the software just ignores those.

First: You need a large unicode font, that has characters from as much of the unicode character set as possible. Second: You need to make sure the text is UTF-8 encoded.

It took quite some fooling around but I now write out the files from TextWrangler in UTF-8 .txt files and it seems to work, so thank you Jim.
