how to include existing media sources

My intent is to create a video consisting of:

1. A video introduction where I am speaking.
2. A slides presentation with a sound track: my voice synchronized with the slides display
3. A segment similar to 1 for concluding remarks

I already have a pre-recorded mp4 file for item #1 but I don't know how to insert it in obs: the screen dump below shows that obs does not allow me to select anything

Add Existing is for media that has already been added to OBS. Select the "Create new", give the source a name and click OK.

all right, now the mp4 file is there but there is no sound
