How to improve stream image quality (Streaming PS5 to YouTube via Mac Studio)

Hi All, I am new to streaming and OBS and wondered how to utilise my hardware best to improve the imgae of my streams, when i review them back on YouTube the textures are not really there, certain things can look blocky and the colour isn't right, it feels a bit crushed and slightly off as if in a different colour space compared to the actual game.

I use OBS on my Mac Studio 2022 (M1 Max) 64gb memory, 32-core GPU, 10-core CPU. PS5 is connected via Elgato HD60X capture card.
I use the following settings in OBS:
Encoder: Apple VT H264 Hardware Encoder
Rate Control: CBR
Bitrate: usually 10,000 Kbps but i have changed it to 20,000 Kbps now
Profile: high

I exported my profile and have attached it. It would be great if anyone has any advice on how to improve my image quality using the set up i have. Many thanks!!

Hello, I also had many quality problems with Youtube. In the end I got it with my MacBook Pro M1 2020 with these settings:
Output mode: Single
Bitrate: 12000
Encoder: HEVC Hardware
Capture Card: Kiloview U40 NDI

Hi Thanks for your info, you were live-streaming from your camera right, i want to try and improve my gaming image.
I might try using the HEVC next time

Bro, I know it's not an answer to you question but I run on Xbox series S and and iMac and I can't get CBR only ABR... and ABR is really messing with my stream on youtube. I have to use the software encoder to enable CBR.
What are your settings to "unlock" CBR on the hardware encoder ‍

I edit really heavy video stuff on this for work without issues, yet streaming?!!
I stream from an xbox series S to an Elgato HD60x to my iMac.
My Mac Doesn't need to process any game just the footage and the stream.

This is really frustrating me and cant find anything one else with my issue so i must be doing something wrong
