How to hide taskbar while recording a window?

I recorded window it works perfectly fine. When I open another window OBS does not record that. But it records taskbar (marked red, screenshot was taken from a recorded video). I want to know how can I record a window without recording the taskbar, I mean only the window(excluding the red marked part).

In your logfile, you're using a Display Capture. Don't use that. Only use the Window Capture. It should not capture the taskbar.

Hi, for excluding the windows taskbar, in my case, on Sources selection, the "Display Capture" worked best for me to ensure it captures all what is shown in my screen as is, just have to do extra work on adjusting crop settings, to exclude taskbar at the bottom. This is a one time adjustment. In my case 50pixels is enough to crop the task bar. Your case might have different values so test what number works best for you.
Select Display Capture. (Menu) Edit-Transform-Edit Transform...
and you will see this page. See screenshot.

Hi, for excluding the windows taskbar,
By the way, I wrote this suggestion above works with the assumption that the taskbar is set to "locked or always on top". However, it will be a different scenario if your taskbar is configured to "automatically hide" in which case auto cropping the bottom part might not benefit you. Have to check that first. Thanks!
