How to hide cursor while recording Window Capture (Xcomposite)

Hi there; I need to record a longer video streamed from a website, so the solution is run a cropped recording via Window Capture on OBS. I cannot find the option to remove the mouse cursor, however; so my computer is blocked for a long time, as the mouse is superimposed if I use it, even if the recorded window is not even in the foreground. This is on Debian 11 Gnome. OBS is standard package - 26.1.2+dfsg1-2.

Assuming you are using the XSHM Window capture source, there is an option in the plugin's options whether to capture mouse cursor or not.
