How to have obs tool bar open, in view on top of impress presention full screen?

Hi.
I'm recording a full screen open office impress presentation with obs.
I have watched lots of videos, they say 'now tell obs to select this screen'
They click a button and a reduced size obs appears on top of the full screen (f5)
presentation.
They don't say how to do it.

If I work out how to do this I think I've got it licked
