Question / Help How to have "no-stop" background music even if I change Scene?

Hi
I'm trying to set up a multicam streaming. I have no problem with video and audio feed from the sources, but I have it setting a bg music. During my live stream I wanna switch between different scenes (in the first one there's the Cam1 feed, and in the second the Cam2 feed). In the scenes I just added a song (.mp3) as a "multimedia source", but everytime I switch from a scene to the other the music just restarts. Now I can't figure out how to have a background music playing in the stream "no-stop" even if I switch scene.

Thx

Jo

What options do you have set on that source?

Loop?
Restart playback when source becomes active?

In my experience if I don't select "restart playback when source becomes active" the same file maintains playback between scenes if it's the same source.

This is something I've run into with my project a bunch.... The best solution I've had has been to add a scene with all media sources that I need to remain active and then add a reference to that scene in each other scene. For each reference, I drag it to be 0 pixels In size. Then all of my sources remain active no matter which scene I'm in. I've been searching long and hard for the right way to do this, but haven't found anything yet.

If you're using audio media sources you shouldn't need to resize them.

If you're using video media as background music you may eventually experience performance issues with this method if there are many of them, as the video is being rendered if the source is active, even if you don't see it.
