How to have FRAPS FPS Counter enabled but not in a recording

So pretty much what the title says - I have a game capture enabled and i want to see my framerate, but i don't want it to be captured in the video itself. I think that generally, this shouldn't have been an issue with the steam overlay, but the game in question is in my EPIC games library, and that program doesn't have a built in fps counter (to the best of my limited knowledge). So this is my question: Is it possible to have the FRAPS counter enabled on my PC but not being visible on the recording? Thank you

have you tried set record overlays to off in the Gamecapture options ?

By that do you mean "Capture Third Party Overlays (such as steam)" option? It is off by default and i keep that way, but Fraps is still getting recorded though
