How to have both webcam and screen recording?

I'm setting up OBS. I can't get both the webcam and the screen recording to show together. I can't attach a screen recording because you file attachment doesn't support the OBS recordings! I'm watching the YT setup video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySENWFIkL7c&t=847s. Don't know how to make mine work like Kevin shows. Help!

I find video education often rather limiting... just me
I recommend the StreamGeeks/PTZ Optics OBS Studio guidebook (free PDF) for those getting started

OBS Studio is a powerful tool, and that effecively necessitates complixity. you must RTFM if you wish to avoid frustration (and even then, no guaratees). See the getting started guide on this site in the Help section

Basically, you need both 'Sources' (web cam and screen capture), then you need to read/understand how to manipulate Source placement and sizing within the Preview/Canvas (understand difference between re-sizing and cropping (using ALT key)). And Sources have a priority order... ie what goes on top of which, so you typically put application/screen full size (or close to that) in background and webcam view as Picture-in-Picture in a corner... meaning webcam has to be on TOP of the screen capture in Source list
