When you make your scene and want to add the second monitor just right click the scenes area and select display capture. Then switch it to the second monitor. :)

Both monitors should be attached to the graphics card OBS is using.

Maybe, but obs can get both once time! although only intel graphics card can get nvidia, nvidia cannot get intel,my nvidia graphics card is zotac GTX1060,only one HDMI,cannot link my monitors at the same time, so I cannot test one graphics card link two monitors environment.

So, with NVIDIA control panel, config OBS to run on Intel HD graphics and then you could get both monitors (I think)
Try it.

Both monitors should be attached to the graphics card OBS is using.

that is right
obs can set main graphics card,if the card is system main card, obs can get every monitor
obss cannot set main graphics card, its main card is system main card, monitor only show monitor by itself

For example

2 3 1
2:intel VGA 3:nvidia HDMI 1:intel HDMI
if set 2 or 1 is main monitor, intel is main card
obss is intel card, obss cannot get 3
obs set nvidia,only get 3
obs set intel,can get all

obss only with system main card, and only get monitor with the cand

obs can set card,if the card is system main card, obs can get every monitor
otherwise, only get monitor with the cand

Hardware coding, obss nvenc is best, but obss cannot get every monitor on my pc~

Maybe this works:

Your OBS running on Intel.
Install another OBS in portable mode
https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-and-obs-studio-portable-mode-on-windows.359/

Config this portable tu run on NVIDIA.

Maybe you can use OBS Portable capture your NVidia HDMImonitor and use it as a source in your OBS (not portable)

(I think this won´t work,just gessing a possible solution)

I use the new obs and obss

obss only show the monitor with system main monitor's graphics card.

obs can set every monitor, every monitor can work when the set card is system main card.

so if obss can set every monitor, every monitor can work on obss the same

if this have another monitor is 1920x1080 @ -1920,0

if Im understanding this right, you can't plug both monitors into your Graphics card since there is only 1 hdmi port on it.

If you get a hdmi->displayport or hdmi->DVI connector you can plug both monitors into your grapchics card. That would work right?

they are pretty cheap something like (HDMI -> DISPLAYPORT) https://www.amazon.com/Rankie-Plated-DisplayPort-Cable-Black/dp/B00Z05JMKO/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1483478179&sr=1-5&keywords=displayport+to+hdmi'

or

(HDMI -> DVI)https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3YSX86ECJ5AXH0P9KT9S

sadly not free but pretty cheap.

This is how I got it worked.

Open OBS Studio (am using 20.1.3 version), by default it captures Screen 1.
Open Windows Display settings (am using Win10 x64 OS).
Select Screen 2 and enable the option ---->>> Make this my main display.

Now OBS Studio captures the other screen until you restart OBS Studio.

Once restarted, then OBS captures the main screen again and you gotta do the whole process once again.

It's easy and it's working. Hope this helps.

I had the same issue, where my gaming laptop was forcing one monitor to run from the CPU Intel card and the second monitor from the GPU Nvidia card. Fixed it. Easy solution (given below). Depending on what you're trying to do, it may or may not help you... in my case, I am mainly interested in capturing Roll20 for streaming D&D games, but it can also work for other projects.

Don't try to Display Capture your second monitor. Instead, do a Window Capture of anything you're trying to grab, from either monitor. OBS will pull it all together. Enjoy.
