how to get started on Linux Mint

so keen to learn to use OBS: I have tried to follow some videos: but I'm stuck;

I have a six-screen window splitter on Mint; I had OBS on a separate window; but even putting it over the LibreOffice; and selecting window capture as a source, I cannot see the LibreOffice

I want to start by recording a slideshow presentation; I am using LibreOffice;

If some kind soul could point me to how I can see the LibreOffice screen; in the OBS window;

so I have watched quite a few videos now; sadly, the experts find it hard to keep things simple;

I have now managed to record a presentation, with overlaid mic; so I seem to have made progress
