Question / Help how to get best performance while recording dota2?

How would I set up obs fps in DotA remains around 25-30 (without recording it 60), and DotA itself does not work very heats as possible to achieve smooth operation and at least 45-55 fps?
My configuration is:
i3-540 (2 core)
4096mb RAM
GTX650(1gb memory)
WD 640gb HDD (5400 rpm)
OSX 10.10

Just recording? Best way is to use recording-specific settings. Buffer size 0, ignore bitrate, turn off CBR, then use CRF as your quality quotient (lower = higher quality and higher file size). Usually 16 CRF is fine. Then, set the preset to ultrafast.

Doing those things should minimize CPU usage while still recording at a quite high quality.
