how to get a camera to full screen

I've got a external camera attached with an aspect ratio of 16:9 with a resolution of 1920x1080. (this IS the res. of the camera as well)
but I'm getting the image as a square into OBS, how can I make this normal rectangle image?
of coarse without cutting sides the image..

Right click on the camera source and TRANSFORM/FIT TO SCREEN

already tried that, still got black edges on both the sides. wile all of the aspect ratio in OBS and the camera itself are 16:9..
anyone else an idea?

Well open properties on your vid capture device and instead of letting it auto set the resolution change it to custom and then set the resolution manually, just figured this out on my own.

Hello. Your camera is probably taking pictures in a different aspect ratio to your screen. Digital cameras sensors are generally either 4:3 or 3:2 ratio, while screens are most commonly 16:9, and you can't fit an image of one ratio into the shape of another without either cutting the edges off or leaving space at the edges.
