Question / Help How to? ffmpeg UDP MPEG-TS

I cannot get anything on my Teradek decoder, when using the "start recording" and the options setting set for URL (udp://ip:port) and "mpegts". Can someone please advise what other settings must be configured to enable MPEG-TS out of my system. Is the ffmpeg encoder pointing to a plug in I have not installed? New to this, seeking assistance, thanks! :-)

It's a Cube, it is set for MPEG-TS UDP port xxxx, it is a known and working Teradek we use for sending MPEG-TS streams from Sony and JVC broadcast cameras. I can send streams to YouTube and such, no issue, but this "record" settings thing for MPEG-TS just isn't being seen by my decoder.

Hmm...
1. Change the Audio Encoder in OBS to AAC (or change the Teradek to mp2 audio). That's a mismatch.
2. Make sure that OBs is set to 59.94 for it's fps (Settings->Video).
3. What Codecs does the TeraDek support on ingest? MPEG2, or MPEG4/H.264/x.264 or something else?

Changed the Teradek to mp2 audio, OBS was already at 59.94, and I am not sure what codecs Teradek supports for MPEG-TS, I believe it is the baseline flavor of MPEG2 everything. It can do h264 for other forms of streaming though.

Still no dice. :-(

Do I need to install ffmpeg dmg?

Hmm, I see that in the specs. I thought MPEG-TS was MPEG2? Any clue what output I would select to shoot a signal at the Teradek using the Teradek settings on the above picture?

MPEG2TS is a container. It can be used to house MPEG2 video, or other codecs (including -but not limited- H.264).

I would try setting the OBS Video Encoder to h.264 and see what happens.

Also, I would set the Teradek and OBS both to AAC for the Audio.

The OBS "mpegts" container can only house mpeg2 video and mpeg2 audio...the selector will not show any other options...does this mean OBS is incapable of sending an h264 mpeg-ts UDP stream to the Teradek?
