I am using VoiceMeeter Potato and OBS and I separate out the audio into separate tracks for recording purposes while streaming. The end result is I have mic, music, gameplay and alerts all separated out so I have control over any possible issues (muting inappropriate sounds, background noise, etc) for anything i later edit and put out on youtube.
I know I can setup VM to auto duck the gameplay and music audio when talking, but I believe if I do this, the levels in OBS will be affected which means the recorded audio tracks for gameplay/music) will have that ducking present. What I'd prefer is for the recorded audio tracks to be consistent volumes, and only duck in the stream audio.
Is it possible to set this up?
