How to disable combination keys to resolve Hotkey issue?!

So it appears that OBS sees the use of Shift, with ANY other key as a different key.

This means that if you use SHIFT to sprint and another key as a PTT hotkey, that OBS will immediately stop transmitting your mic.

So, for example. I am using ALT as my PTT. If I am speaking and then start sprinting using SHIFT in game, OBS will cut my mic. Now this happens with SHIFT and any key. So if I swap ALT to any other key, the outcome is the same.

Therefore, OBS has an issue separating the use of SHIFT with another key simultaneously. Is there a way to stop this happening? Perhaps a setting in the updates? It has only just started happening and I'm convinced that OBS wouldn't be so daft as to somehow handcuff the use of Shift, as it's a standard default sprint button.

Has anyone had this problem and overcome it? Have I missed a potential setting?

Thanks

Never use common used keys, or keys combinations for actions on OBS.
I use a 3 keys combo. Ctrl+Alt+z or Ctrl+shift+z are examples. This way you also avoid conflicts with most other programs and global hotkeys.

Thanks for the help.
It's not been a problem before though, so I don't understand why it would be all of a sudden. I'm using Shift to sprint which is a very common default gaming key. Shift or CNTRL is the problem it seems, more than ALT. It's a bit weird that for a number of years it's been fine and then all of a sudden this happens.

I found the solution to this problem

You have to add a button as a PTT function, using the + sign to the right of your PTT Hotkey assignment bar. Then hold Shift and [PTT button] to make a Shift+[PTT Button] selection. Then have one of the selections as purely [PTT button].
