Question / Help How to create high quality local recording?

Hello, I have the settings to NVENC with 50,000 bitrate but text in videos still comes out fuzzy. I would really like any text shown in any of my videos to be crystal clear as if I'm looking at my own monitor. It really bugs me that it doesn't. Shadow play's videos have fuzzy text no matter how high the bitrate. I understand that OBS does a better job. So how do I fix this?

Also I want 1080? for Youtube right? So I do scale it down to a different resolution or do I leave the settings below alone?

Here are my settings.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Your settings are okay-ish, but you should DEFINITELY read that yellow warning, then change the recording format back to flv.

Well I set the recording format but my problem still is text.. its pixelated in all of my videos. I want high quality video without fuzzy / blurry pixelated text. Even colors aren't as rich as they can be. I noticed this with both Shadow play and OBS. I just tried the autoconfigurator wizard. It still has the same result.

I have an NVIDIA 1060. Maybe my graphics card to blame?

I use the VLC player.

On a side note I had a very hard time getting videos to play well in VLC ( I didn't like the default windows 10 player so VLC is what I chose). I"m a mostly mac user on this PC which I use for gaming only.

Wow I just tried the video in another player I had installed on my PC. and it looks fine. So the problem is with VLC I guess. Thanks for the tip! I guess I have to fight with VLC some more or just use a different player.
