How to capture 1/4 of a 4k screen?

Hi folks,

I have a massive 4k screen.

I want to capture at 1080 for Youtube.

If i capture the whole screen, then downscale to 1080, some of the text and interface elements will be too small.

So in fact i want to capture only a quarter of the screen, then i'll move the window and other stuff that i want to capture into that part of the screen for recording.

Could anyone tell me the best way to do this? I've tried a few things but haven't yet found a satisfactory way.
