How much Mac do I need?

Hi
Aiming to start broadcasting with OBS, 2-3 iPhones/cameras and some mics - but my MacBook Pro from mid 2014 seems a bit slow. Some minutes into testing with OBS and on a 4k 27" monitor the fan starts and the monitor is lagging

Apple Chat recommended to buy at least a 16" MacBook Pro.

Anyone how knows? Do I need more processing power ? And how much?

I'm using a 2015 macbook pro 15" and a 2020 macbook pro 13", multiple hdmi capture cards and microphones. works perfectly fine from a performance perspective, but you may want to stop using that 4k monitor. That has caused issues for me in the past as well. You can still use the screen but on a much lower resolution.

Tanks for your comment. Well I thought it could be the 4kmonitor. Think now my equipment can follow me a bit longer until i master OBS .
