How do you record 1080p on a 1200p?

I currently have a 1920x1200p monitor and i want to record 1080p, but when i try to record 1080p my video seems stretched. Recording in standard 1920x1200 produces 2 black bars on the side of the video.

As long as I had a 1920x1200 monitor, I switched the Windows desktop resolution to 1920x1080 before recording, so the additional space was not available for the video. If you intend to capture some exclusive fullscreen app, for example a game, switch the fullscreen resolution of that app/game to 1920x1080 instead of 1920x1200 while recording.
