Question / Help How do I preview without recording?

I am used to the normal OBS UI and I like changing my settings and seeing if I have low FPS.

1. I don't know what my FPS is with the multiplatform version, but I guess I could turn that on in game
2. I don't want to actually record it when I'm messing around, I would like to just preview encoding and seeing how the performance is

Can someone help me figure this out?
 
Preview encoding has been suggested, I probably won't implement it right away but I'll mark it down on my todo list.
 
As for #1, that's also on the todo list. Generally unless you're skipping frames (encoder lag) it'll always play at the FPS you set it to.

yes, that's why I need to know the FPS to see if my encoding is lagging
