Question / Help How do I improve the audio quality of Display Capture?

Hello

I'm using OBS Studio on a laptop with Windows 10 (and completely new to OBS).

I'm trying to record video using Display Capture, but the quality of the audio isn't very good. The levels are also off, e.g. the background noise is as loud as the dialogue.

I've played around with the sample rate, audio bit rate and recording quality but without any improvement. There also aren't any filters available with Display Capture.

Any help would be appreciated!

The filters under the cog/gear icon of the each audio source (Mixer list, right to Sources list).

Like I said, there aren't any filters with Display Capture. The list is empty.

You don't manage audio at all with display capture. You manage it in the mixer.

You need to add the filter yourself with the "+" button at the bottom of the list box.

Ugh. The window was maximised so +/- was hidden behind the taskbar. I also realised I can right-click to add filters...


The audio is still far from perfect, but it has improved a little. I guess I'll play around with the settings a bit.
