Question / Help How do I get OBS to "Start Recording" in-game?

So, I have OBS working great but not while I am in a game. I have OBS set so that when I press F1 it starts recording, and F2 it stops recording. If I am alt-tabbed out of a game it works just fine, but I need it to work while I am in-game. I need to be able to hit F1 quickly for situations in-game that go wrong.

Any idea how to do this? Even when in the game in windowed mode it just doesn't register the keystrokes when I hit F1 or F2. I keep having to alt-tab out of game and hit Start Recording and when I am done alt-tab again and hit Stop recording.

Thank you in advance.

If you run your game as administrator, OBS isn't able to receive hotkeys while the game is active as long as it isn't running as administrator as well. Either run both as administrator or run none as administrator.

Try a other combination for the hotkey. F1 and the other F-Buttons are sometimes things in games.
You can try buttons like "alt+l" or something. A combination of 2 buttons.
Maybe that solve the problem.
