Question / Help How Do I get 1080p 60fps?

I have just been able to get the game capture to work, but now the video quality doesn't look good. I have it set to 1080p output and 60fps for the frames per second mark. But when I re-watch the video it doesn't look like true 1080p. The 60fps isn't the problem, the problem is that the video quality doesn't look as good as the 1080p says it is.

Try the following settings for your NVENC encoder setup in Output Settings:
  • Rate Control: CQP
  • CQP: 15-25
  • Preset: High-Quality
  • Profile: high
The above was gleamed from the link below, which also has more useful info:

For just about lossless quality using CQP, try a setting of 8, this can result in quite large file sizes though (Dependent upon what game you are recording)

Side note: Your previous thread was fine to post this in, as you are just trying to get it to a point where it is working for you :)

So i got the 1080p part, but now the video is at 15ish frames per second.

Is Rocket League running in uncapped FPS? Don't do that. Cap it to 60 in-game and try recording again.

I don't know what else is causing 50% of lagged frames on a recording session even if you capped the FPS on a GTX 1060. Maybe someone else could point something out.

Your max frame times are through the roof, at 60fps they should be no more than 16.7ms. With a 6700 and 1060 setup there has to be something else going on. Perhaps there are some resident GPU drivers from a previous installation?

Take a look at the link below for some steps to use to troubleshoot, there is no way your system should be recording at 15 fps for 1080p:

I hope this helps you.

What are your in-game and nVidia GeForce Experience settings (Global, if not game specific)
Note: I have an AMD card so can only give an idea of settings for nVidia GeForce and I do not play CS:GO either.
