Question / Help How can QLab trigger a video to play in OBS?

How can QLab trigger a video to play in OBS? QLab is successfully triggering my DMXIS light show, and I want to sync that with OBS. Additionally I want to trigger OBS to switch sources. I'm trying to build a totally automated stage show. Thoughts?

Can QLab generate a keystroke? Because you can set OBS to show/hide individual sources with a hotkey.

I *think* so. But yes, that's true. OBS is great at receiving keystrokes, so much so that I can be typing this post and OBS is going crazy doing things. LOL. If I can cause QLab to generate a key stroke, I can make it a shift-command-something so that I'm not accidently cueing it.

Yes, it's suggested to use modifier keys with OBS hotkeys in those situations.

So I've got QLab triggering a C-2 midi note. I've tried to get OBS to capture that note as a Hotkey, but it doesn't seem to hear it. How do I get OBS to hear a midi note as a Hotkey?

I don't think it can, at least not without help. It needs to be an ordinary keystroke with a modifier.
