How can I reduce ram usage

Can anyone help me pls I want to reduce ram (memory) usage of OBS Studio. I want to do some recording with some highly memory demand tasks (mostly VMware)
but only have a tiny 4gb of ram. (I'm going to upgrade the ram soon). Any solution for short term?

Don't use plugins, don't use any browser sources, don't use the replay buffer.
I'm able to run OBS in a Vmware guest that has 3 GB RAM (probably the minimum to run Windows 10 and one app within). If you have 4, you have 1 GB available for the app(s) you intend to capture. However, trying to run a Vmware host on a machine with 4 GB is a bold thing to do, with or without OBS.
