Question / Help How can I reduce cpu usage with out reducing the quality to much

How can I lower my cpu usage? I need my capture to be good quality but it is lagging because of the high cpu usage. It keeps telling me I need to change my encoding settings how do I do this?

I have tried with other games and I have the same problem. I have a good laptop and it should be good for this kind of thing.

Recording you can simply use the indistinguishable quality, x264 low cpu encoder in simple output mode.

I have tried using the simple output from and it still telling me that I have a cpu overload.

Did you actually chose the "Low CPU Use" encoder?

It doesn't give me an option to do that. Either that or I am looking in the wrong place.

Output section.
Set output mode to simple.
Use the settings I set above.

When I set my output to simple I have no option to change the encoder.

I did what you said but my recording is still so jumpy, what should I do?

Please upload us one more log file after trying to record with those settings for a few minutes.
In general your APU is not really the best for streaming. But we will probably be able to find good settings for you.
