Question / Help How can I prevent overlays from other apps being recorded?

Hello,

For Reasons, I want to use OBS to do local recordings of my games, and Xsplit Gamecaster for my livestreaming simultaneously. I've gotten almost everything working except one thing; OBS is recording the Xsplit overlays.

Is there a way to prevent that? I specified the game window as the source hoping it would only stream that window but so far no luck.

Have you tried playing with the checkbox for capturing in game overlays in the game capture source?

Thanks for the tip. That option was off, but I turned it on then off again and that seems to have cleared up the problem. I wonder if maybe it's also important the order that I launch the applications in. I'll experiment more, but it looks like things will work for me :)
