How can I pixel scan?

I want to only record while I'm alive during a game. Is there a way of pixel scanning the input so it doesn't record whenever there's a combat report or I'm in buy phase? It's quite annoying having to either constantly manually start and stop the recording or having half the recording just be bloat of buy phase or spectating. If it's not too complicated, I'd be willing to make my own plug-in/script/whatever is actually needed.

I've tried searching google and this forum for pixel scanning plugins but couldn't find any.
