How can I copy a source item into another scene with the hot key that is set for it?

I have no problem doing a copy from one source to another but it is not coping the hotkey I have set for it.
Every one I paste it into I have no hot key working su need to go in and set it for every item I copy it to.
Any way to have it paste the item and its set hotkey at the same time so its all done at once?
