Question / Help How can a split a window capture into two?

I'm trying to record some Nintendo 3DS video output which shows two screens in a top bottom orientation and if I try to set the first source window capture to crop off the bottom half it works fine but when I try to start a second source from the same window it just shows a red box.

I tried Googling but the only info I found was from a Windows user with the same problem and I couldn't figure out how to do the proposed workaround under Linux so it must use some feature not present in the Linux version.

I finally figured it out on my own, After adding a window capture source I added a second with the add existing but didn't do any cropping in the source setup window.

After that on each one separate I right clicked on the source then went to transform and then "edit transform" and did the cropping at that point.
