Bug Report Hotkeys trigger in modal popups

We have 'SPACE' configured as our fade transition key. If I create a new scene/input while streaming/recording and enter a 'space' in the name, the hotkey activates the scene transition. Surely the hotkey should be ignored if a modal/popup is open or the hotkey is pressed while the active control is a text box?
