Bug Report Hotkeys stop working at will and can't be reenabled

My hotkeys simply stop working without warning and can't be re-set,. Closing and opening OBS sometimes fix it, until it stops again. Any clues?

OBS set to admin as always, no meaningful data logged outside of "Hotkeys changed" as below. Upgraded from 25.0.1 to latest looking for a fix, no dice.

Mid-stream, just tried to set a replay hotkey right now.

Does this behavior continue if you exit OBS and restart?

What happens if you run OBS normally (non-administrator)?

Either nothing changes, or its fixed and broken after a time.

I will try as non-admin later, but AFAIK this isn't desirable.

Did some debugging earlier and got zero clue of what's happening. Sometimes it works after a few minutes, then it breaks for a few more, then works again, and so forth. Admin, window focus and key selection does nothing whatsoever.

My single replay hotkey died midstream once more, from 21:16 to 22:34. Zero information logged. I didn't even touched the settings at any time, as from previous testing it seems to cause the issue more frequently.

I have seen this as well. I have the num-pad setup to switch between my scenes and then T to transition. Often times, the shortcuts will just stop working somewhere between 15 minutes to an hour into the stream. Restarting OBS seems to be the only thing that resolves it consistently but I can't really do that in the middle of a stream...

I'm on macOS with OBS 25.0.8.

Haven't tested any further since I gave up on hotkeys, but I noticed that they simply do not work when OBS is in focus. Click away and they work just fine.

Settings -> Advanced -> Uncheck "Disable hotkeys when main window is in focus"
