Bug Report Hotkeys only work when OBS window is selected

i finally figured out how make an iPad controller for obs that doesn't require that 60 dollar program by Bome. So my setup is this, I have an iPad midi app with pads on it, I then send the midi data to my Mac, Adam use an app to convert midi to keystrokes. Then, I set the keystrokes in OBS for hotkeys. They work great, but only as long as OBS is the active selected window. The weird part is that the hotkeys work if I type them directly on the physical keyboard, but not thought th iPad app, even though I can see that they are being seen (for example I can set the hot key to the letter A, and have text edit as the active window and type A over and over and not have OBS respond).

I'm having a very similar issue. I'm using an android device, sending OSC packages to vvvv. VVVV is converting those to keystrokes, but OBS ignores them most of the time. (Even when I use my real keyboard and press F11 or F12 the keystrokes are ignored most of the time.)

I Second this! I use a external numpad to switch scenes, which works great when the window is selected. But as soon as I select another window, or go into my game, all buttons stop working.

Perhaps it matters which key combinations you use?

I just tested with Studio version 0.14.2. I have Command-Control-Home set for Start Recording, and Command-Control-End for Stop recording.

Both work with OBS frontmost or with another window frontmost.

I'm am trying to do the same thing using a MIDI controller and BOME but have the same issue, when OBS isn't the active window the midi controller doesn't activate the hotkeys but the physical keyboard still does? I'd like to have the MIDI controller work when OBS isn't the active program.
