Question / Help HotKeys do their thing EVEN if I am using another program...

I have OBS HotKeys set up with a few simple keys - S for "Stop", right and left arrows to move "Previous" and "Next" in the playlist.

The problem --- If I am in let's say Wordpad editing a playlist, anytime I happen to hit the "S" key, OBS is there detecting the keystroke and "Stop"s playback.

Is there a way to STOP OBS from doing it's HotKey action when I am using a DIFFERENT program?

thanks...

Add modifiers to your hotkeys.

Hotkeys in OBS exist to control the program when it's not frontmost. In fact, it doesn't have an option to disable them when OBS isn't the active app, it has a setting to turn them off when OBS is the frontmost app.

Ok, maybe I am thinking of HotKeys the wrong way.

So if I disable or delete my existing HotKeys..... how do I "Pause" or perhaps skip to the "Next" without using the "P" or "right arrow" HotKey?

....or am I simply required to do something like Alt+P for "Play" "Pause"? Which is just fine if that's the case.
