Question / Help Horribly Choppy Recordings with Recommended Settings

Still new to recording with Studio, as I always used Classic in the past with no problems. I have tried both simple, and advanced settings for local recordings, found here:https://obsproject.com/forum/resour...lity-recording-and-multiple-audio-tracks.221/

It doesn't matter if I do simple/advanced recommended settings as H1Z1 recordings are very choppy and unwatchable.
From the top of my head I have used:
x264 low cpu usage, large file size encoder, and have not tried NVENC at all.
CRF is at 20 by the way.
Usage preset is the default veryfast.

I have set my settings exactly to what the sticky thread recommends on both simple and advanced, but still experiencing very choppy recordings. The only thing i have not tested is downscaling my 1080p recording to 720p, but figured my pc could handle this as I have never had a problem in OBS Classic.

PC specs are:
i5-4690k overclocked to 4.7ghz
6 fan(push/pull) water cooling system
GTX 970 GPU
16gb DDR3 2400MHz ram

Post a complete log
One of these should display advanced settings and one should display simple. I am having to remote in to my home pc, from my phone, so I haven't had a chance to look at them.

Simple settings:

Taking into consideration SIMPLE settings:
Reduce ingame graphics. You need tgive some space to OBS to render frames.

I stream no problem, usually just from my elgato hd60 pro via xbox. Is there anything wrong there?

As for the recording, would it be better to reduce in game settings or juse down scale the output down to 720p? How is 0.6% even a problem unless I'm reading it wrong? That's not even 1% of lagged frames?

Wonder what kind of results I would get with shadowplay...

Edit: Loaded up H1Z1 without OBS running and my gpu load is 99% at the main menu, without even playing yet. I have no problem with lag when I am playing the game, or when I am playing and recording. The problem is the recording is horribly choppy and unwatchable.\

Last Log File with x264 encoder:

Edit 2: Just recorded with shadowplay at 1080p 30fps and 50mb bitrate and it worked perfectly fine.
