Hi, so I'm quite new to streaming, and I very quickly noticed Hogwarts Legacy was an absolute nightmare to stream with. I'd like to point out that most of the time (like 90% of the time) the game doesn't like, it is rather OBS that lags extremely and renders the stream with dropped frames, especially in places like Hogsmeade or Hogwarts, or any place with too much light. I tried so many different things.. changing my OBS streaming settings, output, video settings, etc., changing my Hogwarts Legacy graphical settings, Vsync, etc. and nothing. Whether my settings are low, medium, high or ultra, OBS lags extremely, and rather often (and once again the game doesn't lag/stutter most of the time for me, it's only OBS/the stream itself). I also tried to get rid of some background and third party softwares that may be using too much ram as I only have 16gb ram/memory but even with a large amount of available memory, OBS keeps stuttering like hell.
My PC is 2 years old, configs being: Windows 11 x64; AMD Ryzen 5 3500X - 6-Core 3.60GHz, 4.10GHz Turbo - 32MB L3 Cache Processor; 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4/3200mhz Dual Channel Memory; 1TB Seagate BarraCuda SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM Hard Drive; Motherboard MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX: M-ATX w/ RGB, USB 3.1, SATA3, 1x M.2
I'd like to know if some of my components have already become obsolete or not? Which of these would need replacing for good streaming and gaming performance, if any? I'd also like to point out I'm not meeting any similar issue with any other game I've put on OBS, whether it's a heavy or light game. I also got to know that AMD is really no
I know there's other similar posts pretty much everywhere but at this point I'm just lost. Many people with 32gb RAM also meet the exact same issue. Some people say the issue's from OBS' latest versions, others say it's Hogwarts Legacy, some say it may be both.. I'm confused. So if anyone could enlighten me on the subject and maybe even help me I'd grately appreciate it.. Cause rn I can't attract an audience if my stream keeps lagging like hell when I open this game.
