We bought the MSI Raider 18 HX AI A2XWJG-416US 18" (https://www.microcenter.com/product...jg-416us-18-gaming-laptop-computer-core-black)

For the Church streaming and I have it all setup with the latest version of OBS 31.0.4 and the latest distroav-6.1.1 and I'm using 5 - FoMaKo NDI PTZ Camera,30X Optical Zoom, AI Auto-Tracking

And only issue I'm seeing with the new laptop is OBS seems to have a memory leak and when it climbs up to 2gig on the memory leak the OBS app crashes. And when it crashes I can't even close OBS without doing end task in task manager

Have you even seen obs have memory leaks before and what possible fix?

Or could it be the Laptop is too powerful for OBS ? It has a mobile 5090 with 24gig and 64gig ram and intel 9 285HX

I tried going into OBS safe mode but the NDI devices don't show in safe mode. So I rebooted and went into normal mode and the something happens. On taskmgr OBS climbs memory until it crashes. I wonder has OBS programmers tested OBS with a laptop nivida 5090. Attached some logs. Has anyone else seem this issue?

You need to test OBS as is, in safe mode, to see if it works as intended and verify there's no other issue.
For support on NDI plugin you should write directly on the Discussion section in the plugins page, or where the dev have pointed out for this purpose.

Yes this is the entire point as I suspect it is your NDI plugin causing issues.

okay yeah this is what I was saying though, if you run OBS in safe mode for 5-10 minutes and this doesn't happen then you know it is an NDI issue.

After reading several article's on Reddit I have found the issue.

The problem was Windows 11 24H2

I backup the computer files and format the drive and load Windows 11 21H2 and then reload OBS and the NDI software and all 5 cameras. And OBS ran fine without any Memory issues.
Then I upgrade to Windows 11 23H2 and ran OBS without any issues. Then I turn off windows updates so that 24H2 does not load on the computer.
OBS will run fine without memory issue as long as you stay on 21H2 or 23H2.

DO NOT Load 24H2.

Thanks

just to be clear you definitely had something else going on in your configuration, chances are that formatting and reinstalling windows was really what fixed whatever was happening here. most windows 11 users (like myself) are running 24h2 with no issues. use whatever version you'd like but I don't want to give the wrong impression that there is any universal memory issue with OBS or the windows 11 24h2 update.

It would only be fair if you again installed h4 to verify that the problem repeats
