Hi,
I have one of those fancy 165HZ monitors and I'd like to record my game footage in somewhat the same frame rate. Honestly, once you've been to 120HZ and above, you'll never want to go back to 60 or lower (at least not for shooters). Anyway, I play my first person shooter on 2560x1440, 165FPS on a 165HZ monitor and my CPU and GPU can handle this fine. However, when I set OBS to record on 120+ FPS in Video > Fractional FPS Value 120, 1, the recorded footage stutters when played back. When recording at 60FPS and playing those recordings back, all is fine.
Do the stutters mean my PC just can't handle playing AND recording at high frame rate? Because if that's the case than I'll just have to settle for recording at less FPS or buy another PC. Though, if there's any setting I might have overlooked which makes it possible to record at high FPS without stutters when playing back, I'd like to know.
Thanks in advance.
