Question / Help High encoding issues?

I'm trying to record Minecraft videos for YouTube, but I keep getting a message that says I have high encoding and I need to use a better encoding preset. I have a Dell OptiPlex 760 with an Nvidia GeForce GT 730 GPU and an Intel Core Duo 2 E8400 CPU. I know my system is old, but can anyone help with my encoding problems and help me get a higher quality recording? And while you´re at it, can you recommend settings? I'm looking for 720p30 or 480p30 quality.

It would help to know which version of OBS you are using and what your current settings for recording are. Generally you want to keep your CPU usage under 70% to avoid getting warnings about high encoding.

That said, according to the system specs you posted, you could probably try setting your CPU Encoding preset to SUPER FAST and the Encoding profile should be set to "main".
