Hello,

first of all, sry for my english.

I stream on twitch since 2 weeks Rainbow Six Siege, GTA5 Online and Witcher3. I know my cpu is a weakness of my pc but that was not the the problem till saturday.
I don´t know why but since saturday i have a cpu workload of 30-40% without any other programms. So if iplay R6 Siege i have only 20-30fps and GTA5 is not playable with running OBS. OBS NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new) is on.
I would not ask, if this were my first stream. I would buy a ne cpu and fine but before saturday i streamed for two weeks without this problems. So my question is, is there any option in OBS that increase the cpu workload so much?

OBS cpu workload: 2%
Windows cpu workload: 40%
Windows cpu workload without OBS: 4%

CPU: Intel i5 2500k (3.3GHz or 4.4GHz (overclocked is no matter)
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
16Gb Corsair DIMM DDR3-1334
Asus Geforce RTX 2070 Super

you changed something
like adding audio filters or made multiple effects on your scenes?
without any change its nearly unrealistic the load does not change
windows or driver updates?

Your CPU is 4 cores, 4 threads at 3.3Ghz. It is meant for general computing and low FPS gaming only. The AAA games you are playing suffer because of it. You need to bite the bullet and get a stronger CPU and motherboard. Right now, that RTX 2070 Super is dying to show you what it can do. But you are holding it back with a slow CPU.

8 cores/16 threads you need to power that. Whether it is a Intel i9 or Ryzen 3rd gen it is up to you. Anything below that, you are not taking advantage of the performance available and your GPU.

Yes, that´s my opinion too. I try to find this option i possibly changed.

Geforce driver was new. I installed the older version. Same problem.

I play this 3 games with high setups in high fps. R6 Siege for example with over 120fps.

I wouldn't ask if it hadn't worked before

Ok, i found the problem. It´s the scrolling bar (followers, donations.....) from TipeeeStream. If it is off, i got 8% cpu workload. On i got 40%. So i reduce the text shadow, outline mode off. Now 17%.
