I have been using OBS for about 3 years now. in that time i have been able to tweak the settings and figure out what works best for me.
I have used obs on 3 different computers of 3 completely different calibers with my newest computer being an absolute beast.
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800x3D
GPU: 4070 super
Ram: 32gb ddr5
Just yesterday i used OBS to stream to twitch. it ran completely fine with no issues.
I usually stream rocket league and have no problem getting 500-600 fps while i have my stream running. I usally cap it to 280 fps though to match my monitors refresh rate.
Today i went to stream rocket league and noticed i was getting very sever frame droppage to the point of it almost being playable only while i was live.
I tried capping it to several different fps limits and nothing helped. as soon as i would stop streaming it would run perfectly fine again.
Thats when i noticed Task manger had OBS running at 70-85% cpu usage!!!
Obs has never ran this high the entire time ive used it on 3 different systems...
i have spent hours now trying to tweak with setting and troubleshoot why its doing this and how to fix it. nothing is working. if anyone has any idea please help me im losing my mind over here.
ALSO... it is not my internet ive ran speed test and im not getting any dropped frames in obs itself. i also am running my encoder off of nvenc
