Question / Help high cpu obs link and obs

I have a macbook pro i7 2012
i want to stream with my elgato hd60s and when im running obs studio and i look at my activity monitor obs link takes 110% cpu and obs 55% cpu.Is it normal?I think im doing something wrong.Thank you for your help

Yes, it would be normal for an eight year old laptop running MacOS. None of these is ideal for streaming. Consider lowering your canvas and/or output resolution or framerate to reduce resource usage.
