Question / Help Hiding Steam overlay during game

I can't seem to hide my Steam overlay when i play games through Steam, I know using game capture is suppose to fix that but i am using game capture and it still shows my overlay wasn't sure if this required a file or anything so was wondering if anybody knew how to fix this?

Sources > Game Capture > Properties > Uncheck "Capture third-party overlay (such as steam)"

Well it seems to be only on Deus Ex jfc that game is so fking buggy

Could you explain the steam overlay? Is it supposed to be unchecked when you want to implement Steam games into OBS? Currently I window capture on Mac.
