So, I've been trying to figure out how to use OBS and it seems to work at first, but then keep freezing and crashing. Well, the video is crashing, while the audio channels seem to continue to work? I'm not sure what the problem is, I've tried turning the game settings down, the fps, capturing the desktop instead of the game, everything I can think of and still nothing. Here is the game log it gave me from my last attempt, that seemed to get a little further than other attempts before crashing.

Thanks for the help!

If OBS really crashed ("Woops, OBS has crashed!"), then there should be a crash log at "%AppData%\obs-studio\crashes". If a crash log matching that session exists, please upload that as well. If there are no such crash logs, then what you're describing probably isn't a crash.

Your log is incomplete because it doesn't show a streaming session. Please provide a log from a streaming session that exhibits the issue that you're describing.

Well, it never says it crashes but when it freezes and I try to do anything with the application everything turns white. How do I find the log from the stream?

And thanks for the reply!

Then you're having a freeze issue rather than a crash issue. The distinction is important, diagnostically speaking.

You would look in the logs folder to see if it still exists. See this sticky.

Old logs are pruned on OBS startup. Check the log folder to see if the log still exists. If it doesn't, you may have to recreate the error in a new session and upload that log file.

Hey! So, I noticed in the log that I have a memory leak? Could that be what's wrong? And if so, do you know how I could fix it?

No. That log still does not show an error or a streaming session.

The memory leak has nothing to do with the problem you're experiencing.

Why did you attach a screenshot of excerpts from articles from 2012 from The Atlantic?
